I am Front-end Developer and Web Designer from the North East of England based in the UK. I’m self-taught and design and build responsive websites for an exceptional, easy to navigate user experience.

In both my personal and professional life, clear communication is very important as well as finding practical solutions to problems. This carries through into my design and development work in creating fully functional sites which communicate a clear message.

My interests lie somewhere between logic and creativity and I’m motivated by seeing projects through from their inception to completion. This means starting at the initial stages of branding and design and finding the necessary tools to turn this into a fully-functional website.

Front-End Development

I work with a variety of tools and frameworks, selecting the right tools for the job depending on the purpose and scale of the project. This could be using HTML, CSS, JavaScript and jQuery for a simple static website or using frameworks like React.js to interact with APIs and build something more dynamic, all the time taking into consideration responsive web design principles to produce websites with cross-browser compatibility that work on a variety of screens and devices.

Design

I am fluent in the use of many of the products in Adobe Creative Suite including Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign, and sometimes combine this with simple pen and paper to create anything from logos, original typography, icons and illustration.

I’m passionate about creating visuals which are appealing, grab the users attention and correspond to the ideas they are trying to convey. This can be achieved through the selection of appropriate typefaces, colour palettes, images and creating visuals from scratch which align with the concepts behind them.
